3D-рюкзак из EVA: революция в детских рюкзаках

A school supplier in Manchester weighed the bags in her daughter's classroom: the lightest empty backpack was 900 g, before a single book went inside. For a six-year-old that is a meaningful share of body weight carried on two narrow straps for forty minutes a day. She came to us with a target of 600 g empty and a moulded front panel that would not collapse when the bag was half full.

Where the weight comes off

A conventional children's backpack uses a fabric shell over a fibreboard or EVA sheet insert, plus a lining, plus foam in the straps. A 3D EVA build replaces several of those layers with one compression-moulded shell. We form the front panel and the body from sheet at 0.15-0.20 g/cm3, which puts the empty bag in the 450 to 650 g band depending on size and strap build. The moulded panel also holds its shape when the bag is empty, so a child does not have to fight a floppy opening to get a lunchbox in. Straps are 40 to 50 mm wide with closed-cell foam inside, and a chest strap keeps them from sliding off narrow shoulders.

What schools and parents ask for

  • Safety: reflective webbing on the front panel and straps, plus a light-coloured shell that reads clearly at dusk
  • Compliance: EN 71-3 migration testing for the materials, REACH declarations on phthalates, and CA Prop 65 statements for US-bound orders
  • Practical: a wipe-clean inner face, a moulded pencil channel, and a name panel on the inside of the lid
  • Sizing: roughly 32 cm for ages 4 to 6 and 38 cm for ages 7 to 10, with the strap geometry redrawn for each height

Children's products are the category where buyers open the compliance file before they look at the sample. EN 71-3 migration limits apply to the materials a child can mouth, and REACH restricts certain plasticisers, so we declare both against the actual production batch with CTI reports rather than a generic statement. The factory runs ISO 9001 and has been audited by SGS. Bags in the EVA backpack range start at 500 pieces per size and colour, tier pricing at 500, 1000 and 3000, and samples take about three days. Many school suppliers add a matching EVA pencil case from the same sheet and surface so the set retails as one family.

The Manchester set is being sampled at 580 g empty with a 38 cm body, reflective binding on both straps and a name panel inside the lid. Quotations and the compliance file go back to her by Thursday, or you can reach the team at lucy@lianpingbag.com.

Часто задаваемые вопросы

How much does a 3D EVA school backpack weigh?
Empty weight typically lands between 450 and 650 g depending on body size and strap build, compared with 900 g or more for a fabric bag with a separate board insert. The saving comes from replacing several layers with one compression-moulded shell, formed from EVA sheet at 0.15-0.20 g/cm3.
Do EVA children's backpacks meet EN 71 and REACH?
They can be supplied to meet both. EN 71-3 sets migration limits for elements in materials a child may mouth, and REACH restricts certain plasticisers in the sheet and surface laminates. We test the actual production batch through CTI and issue the reports with the shipment rather than a generic certificate.
What sizes do you make for school backpacks?
Common school sizes are about 32 cm body height for ages 4 to 6 and 38 cm for ages 7 to 10, with strap geometry and chest-strap position redrawn for each height. Minimum order is 500 pieces per size and colourway, with tier pricing at 500, 1000 and 3000 units.
