A portable recorder, two wireless transmitters, a charging hub, and six short cables arrive in the sample room in separate plastic bags. By the end of the fit session, every component has a place and no connector points toward the device screen. LIANPING's custom electronics case program begins this way: with the real gadget ecosystem on the bench, not a generic rectangle labeled accessories.
Control movement, pressure, and cable paths
The compression-molded EVA shell supplies the outer structure, typically using material around 0.18–0.24 g/cm³ for portable electronics projects. Inside, die-cut foam locates the main device, while elastic mesh or small zip pockets hold items whose dimensions vary. Fragile controls and screens need vertical clearance from the lid. Heavy charging blocks should sit near the hinge or handle center so they do not pull the loaded case sideways.
Cables are a protection issue as much as an organization issue. A tight pocket can force a connector into the display, and a narrow slot can set an unhealthy bend at the plug. During development of custom EVA electronics cases, we close the case with every specified lead, adapter, and battery installed. Pressure-transfer film or simple witness pads can reveal contact that is not visible from the open layout.
ESD and heat require explicit boundaries
Standard EVA and black cushioning foam should not be assumed to provide electrostatic discharge control. If unpackaged circuit boards enter an IEC 61340-5-1 protected workflow, the buyer needs to state surface-resistance, grounding, and packaging requirements. Conductive or dissipative inserts can then be reviewed with compatible fabrics and adhesives. Finished consumer devices with their own housings may have a different risk assessment from exposed components.
A closed carrying case is also not a charging chamber by default. Batteries and power banks should be transported according to the device supplier's instructions, and heat-producing electronics should not operate inside a sealed foam cavity unless the full thermal design has been assessed. Ventilation, flame behavior, and battery transport rules belong in the product brief when relevant. The case protects equipment from handling; it does not replace the electronics maker's safety controls.
Drop goals can be defined around the actual payload. A development plan may use 1.0–1.5 m drops on six faces, three times, followed by charging, button, connector, and display checks. Parcel-distribution projects may reference ISTA 2A or ASTM D4169 with the outer carton included. Branding, color, molded ribs, and labeling can be added through LIANPING's case customization service after the protective geometry is stable.
Custom orders start at 500 units, with common quotation tiers at 500, 1,000, and 3,000 pieces. Straightforward samples generally take about three days, subject to structure and materials. At the current Dongguan bench, the charging hub cavity has just moved 9 mm closer to the handle; the loaded sample now hangs level, and the zipper closes without pushing its USB-C lead against the recorder.
